What makes a template safe

  • One column for the main text, so it is read in the right order.
  • Standard headings: Experience, Education, Skills.
  • Contact details in the body, not in the page header.
  • Real text in the PDF, not an image of text.

Designed templates are not forbidden. They are simply a bigger risk on some portals, so test the file before relying on it: copy the PDF text into a plain editor and see whether it stays in order, or use our free CV checker.

One template, several versions

Pick one layout and change the content for each application: the summary, the skills and the order of your bullets. Our guide to tailoring a CV to a job shows the method. Colour is a smaller decision: most designed templates come in several colours, and a sober one is rarely a mistake.

Frequently asked questions

Are these resume templates free?

You can browse and fill them in for free. Your free trial includes one resume creation or improvement. After that, credits apply.

Which template is best for ATS?

The plain single-column templates. They avoid columns, tables and text boxes, which parsers most often misread.

Can I add a photo?

Designed templates have a photo option. Plain ATS templates do not. Whether to use a photo depends on the country, as our photo guide explains.

Can I download a Word file?

Resumes download as PDF. The PDF matches the preview and contains real, selectable text.

Do the templates work in Arabic?

Yes. Templates support right-to-left text and the ten resume languages.
